During my time working at Queen City Running Company I managed the social media. To promote events and sales I prioritized delivering organized information while keeping content fun and playful. By highlighting our employees and local running community, I was able to increase engagement on our socials and grow attendance at events and races.

Pub Run
When I first started at QCRC we had group runs every Thursday that started at the shop. We were struggling to get the local running community engaged in our group runs and would have an average attendance of 4-6 runners.
In 2021, we really felt the need grow the running community and create a social and supportive environment for runners to connect. Thus, Pub Run was born. Each week we host our group run at a different local bar or restaurant. The group heads out for a run and then stays for a drink or some food afterwards.
Implementing Pub Run was one of the greatest decisions we made as a company. By adding the social hour after the run, connections are made, friendships grow, and the running community is united. The average attendance is now 30-40 runners! Bonus, we support a local business every week!
